This website now covers crossings between Badwater, Death Valley, and the Summit of Mt Whitney, a distance of 146-miles. Since 1977 there have been fewer than 300 such crossing as of this date(09-19-2012). The real goal is to promote covering this distance between the “lowest to the highest” either in conjunction with the Badwater Ultramarathon (http://www.badwater.com) or as a Solo performance within the “July/August Window” preferably with an “AM-start” (0600-0800). The 135-mile crossings have largely been eliminated from the “146” List. Another goal is to regard the 11-mile distance to the Summit and back to the Portals as a “Hike” and not a race. As of this writing I am/we are awaiting responses from those who might have gone to the Summit but did not provide documentation. For your convenience there are two “Archive” files covering all of the present greater than 1200 crossings(135 and 146)  both chronologically and alphabetically.
